After Losing Streak, Barcelona Beats Osasuna
Barcelona finally ended its losing streak, beating Osasuna 3-0 this weekend, with fan-favorite Lionel Messi scoring two of the three goals and Luis Suarez scoring the third. It had been over a month since the team had won a game, being beat by Malaga, Real Sociedad and Real Madrid. After the win, Suarez said, "We are Barcelona and we are candidates for the league title. We will always do everything to do that."
What would Barcelona be without Lionel? Have you thought about it? Is it possible that the football legend outgrows a club such as Barca?
It is possible. It is possible that Messi is getting too expensive for the club. According to Marca, that day could come sooner than later. Marca claims that the Catalan side of the deal plans to offer him a deal for life, however, it is in question will they be able to afford a star this big? Argentina international’s demands might be too high after all.
Of course, he is a target for Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, but Messi prefers his Barca home. His pay increase is going up together with his status as the world’s best player.
The 29-year-old’s deal runs until 2018.
