Tiger Woods to Return at Hero World Challenge

Tiger Woods will return to golf after one year without an appearance this week at the Hero World Challenge, an invitational event in the Bahamas hosted by his own Tiger Woods Foundation. Once considered a masterful golfer and fierce competitor, Woods has not participated in any event since August 2015, instead using the time to recuperate from multiple back surgeries.

Tiger was all upbeat when he completed his pro-am round at the Hero World Challenge.

He told Golf Channel, “I felt good with pretty much everything. I was able to hit all the shots I needed to hit. The wind was definitely pumping today, and it was good to see it in this direction. The time since I’ve been here on Saturday it’s been blowing out of the other direction, so it was good to see.”

Albany Golf Club was almost empty, so only a few were able to witness a pair of highlights and eagles on the 603-yard ninth and 572-yard third hole.
