Celtics Fans BURN Isaiah Thomas Jerseys After Kyrie Irving Trade
With Kyrie Irving doing all the demanding for a trade, it's hard to understand why Isaiah Thomas is the one getting all the hate. Some Celtics fans didn't waste any time kicking IT to the curb after the blockbuster trade between the C's and Cavs was announced.
After months of speculations which player is transferring to which team, we finally have some answers.
The Boston Celtics traded Isaiah Thomas - as well as Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and the rights to the Brooklyn Nets' 2018 first round pick - to the Cleveland Cavaliers, for point guard Kyrie Irving.
Thomas is one of the shortest guys in the NBA, being only 5-foot-9-inch tall, he plays as a point guard. He started his professional basketball career at the Sacramento Kings in 2011, and he left for Phoenix Suns in 2014, just to be transferred to the Boston Celtics, one year later. And from last Tuesday, he is one of the Cleveland Cavaliers!
One other player from the Cavs has experienced the same fate with his jersey - LeBron James. Fans also burned James' jersey in 2010, when James left Cleveland to join the Miami Heat.
Thomas stayed cool about this incident, without any remarks on the subject, but his new teammate and basketball legend LeBron just couldn't keep his mouth shut about this.
LeBron James hit his social media pages and defended Thomas as best as he could.
