Tom Hanks is intent on ignoring the NFL when the Raiders set up shop in Vegas. The Hollywood star was at a charity event in San Francisco on Monday night and spoke out about the Oakland Raiders and their plans to move to Las Vegas in two years. Silver and black is the first thing that pops to your mind when you think of the Oakland Raiders. The team was founded in 1960 and joined the National league the same year. Raiders are proud owners of AFL championship title, three Super Bowl championships and four Conference championships. So, why Raider Nation wants to relocate to Las Vegas?! In 1982 the team was relocated to Los Angeles and Raiders stayed there until 1995, when they came back to Oakland. The team was looking for better stadium and today, more than 20 years later, they are still looking! Owner Mark Davis met with Sheldon Adelson, a Las Vegas Sands owner and negotiated about stadium located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Big money is in the game - about 2,5 billion dollars for the new domed stadium. Funding for the new stadium is now approved by Nevada Senate and Raiders are definitely on the move.
